Molsen Center Toronto DVD - Balance Pay Per View.

Molson Ampitheatre - Toronto, Ontario, Canada - August 18th & 19th 1995

Boy, Lou is gonna love me for this :D I've had a ton of requests for this show, and this is, by far, the best boot of this PPV I have ever seen. Apparently not as many people have it as I originally thought. This version was put out by "The Obscured Collection 10", and is the full show, including the 2-4 minute pre-show introduction.

Not to worry Lou, and other Dave fans. Next on this list will be a late Dave Era boot. What do you guys think about Largo 1982? Or do enough people still need Sao Paolo, Brazil 1983?

Anyway, Enjoy everyone... this boot is HIGH quality, and beautifully done. I would not be at all disappointed if I went into a store and paid the same price as the LWAN or RHRN DVD. I have also included the artwork from VHboots in the torrent. :thumb:

I know Sooner :D This was posted in direct response to your request :thumb: ... but I have had a lot of them from here and guitars101. I thought this show was pretty commonplace, but if handfuls of people are asking for it, apparently some people need it :thumb: It's surely a "must-have" from the Sammy era.

I remember watching the live broadcase while I was recording it... thinking how fantastic it was. Played that tape OUT. I was so excited when I found it on DVD!

Glad you guys are gettin in on this. :thumb:

is this the same show as the sharingthegroove version a few months back?

Couldn't begin to tell ya bro. I've had it a bit longer than that...but that doesn't mean it isn't the same version. All I can tell you is that it is the one released by "The Obscured Collection," and it's the best quality version of the Balance PPV I've seen.

Sorry bro.

Any way to seed this in a MPEG format? until I can procure the proper DVD burning equipment? Just curious..

Thanks, as always...

EVH5150
09.29.04, 08:48 AM
Sure. I can seed an MPG... but you'll have to wait until after everyone is done with the torrents I'm seeding right now. Adding another would seriously slow down this DVD.

Give it a week or two... there's a few other things I want to post too, but I'll make sure I get it up for ya :thumb:

I ran into a snag. I may not be able to help after all. I believe your files are labelled with lower case whereas mine are all caps. I am going to try renaming this and see if it helps. EVH5150 I am going to PM u amd see if you can send me the jpg file for the cover since I tried to dl just that and azureus does not seem to want to cooperate. Hope I can help. :dunno:

Glad you decided to jump in and try it out man :thumb: You won't be disappointed! Thanks for the help! You're already feeding those behind you, and if you leave your torrent seeding after you download, you'll just continue to feed it.

Everyone seems to be configured pretty well here... My stats show me an average total download speed of 521kbps for the whole torrent. Man, these things are powerful if you've got a lot of people. It's only been running for 22 hrs or so, and we've got a constant average bandwidth of 521kbps from a single 40kbps seed. Can you imagine if we had 3 times as many people connected to the torrent?

My top two leechers right now are at 68% & 49%... once the first finishes, the second will be RIGHT behind, and this thing should start to gain some momentum :thumb: Once I get another seed or two with me, I'm gonna post a few links around to see if we can draw some more into the torrent. I want this one to be the biggest mutha' on the site so far :thumb:

I was haulin ass when I first started (150kb/s) but now I'm stallin out at about 15kb/s, is there any settings on this Bit Tornado that I need to change to get the fastest speeds for upload/download? :dunno:

I'm new as hell at this and would love any help! Thanks for this show! :thumb:

EVH5150
09.29.04, 07:14 PM
Hey GreenPaw5150, glad ya made it over!!!!!! :thumb:

There's not a lot you can do to control Bit Tornado. My recommendation is to shut the torrent down and uninstall Bit Tornado. Then go and download Azureus... You can read about it and find a link to the page in my Q&A forum here: http://www.jamtothis.com/showthread.php?t=31.

Once you've installed and configured Azureus (it's a freakin' breeze), you can just restart the torrent exactly where you left off, as long as you save to the same location you originally did with Bit Tornado. :thumb:

Glad to see you here dude... Always enjoy reading your posts :thumb:

I've run across two different edits of the Toronto show. There's the original Pay-Per View broadcast (approx. 1 hour 40 minutes long), and there's also a 50 minute version I grabbed from WinMX which obviously chops a lot of the original PPV songs out, but includes some material that wasn't available on that original PPV broadcast ("Jump" followed by a very brief version of "Runnin' With The Devil").
I'd never seen anyone mention the editing differences before, so I thought I'd just throw it out there.

EVH5150
09.29.04, 07:27 PM
You know, I thought I had heard something about that, although I've never seen the video, and I didn't want to sound like a stooge... So thanks for pointing that out:thumb:

Hey, um... any way we might be able to... I don't know... see this video? :D :thumb: I'd actually love to have that shorter clip you're referring to if you have it handy? If not, no biggie...worth a shot

Yeah, to verify... This is the exact PPV broadcast, no extra material that might have been cut from the show.

Gonna take off soon!

EVH5150
09.30.04, 11:57 AM
Well... we've had 4 people complete the show, but none have stuck around to help seed afterwards... so I'm still all by myself.

Still lookin good though. Everything's moving nicely, and we should have another 4-5 people done in the next couple of hours. If you any of you guys can, hang out for a little bit when you're done downloading. At least until we get a few more people finished. 1 seed by himself, feeding more than 20 people, for a whole DVD is pretty rough.

Don't worry though... I'll keep it runnin'... even if I've gotta do it for a week strait  I won't leave any of ya' hangin' :thumb:

82.3% will let mine stay on also once complete, can't wait to check this out.

On a different note, I am eager to find this past Atlanta show, it was AWESOME!!, I attended St. Louis and Atlanta this tour. I have the St. Louis show, really, really want the Atlanta Show. September 17, 2004, Phillips Arena, just keep and ear out for that one.

I have Albany 04, E. Rutherford 04, St. Louis 04 and 1982 Largo DVD's if someone wants to trade. I am new to the Bit Torrent world, can seed one of these later on if I learn how. Help me find Atlanta!! Please :D

bb5150
09.30.04, 04:12 PM
I just jumped off and downloaded AZUREUS looks like that works much better, it says that I'm only 71.8% complete, where Bit Tornado said 83%. :dunno:

Anyway looks like I will be done tonight for sure, will leave it up all day tomorrow.

it's nicer in CABO :)

EVH5150
09.30.04, 06:01 PM
Azureus is DEFINATELY the better client. The difference in completion is probably because you shut down BT and lost a little bit of data... either that, or some of it wasn't absolutely complete and failed Azureus's check. In either case, it's only a few percentage points, and you'll make that time up just by switching clients.

Thanks for the offer to stay and seed. (thanks to you guys who I see helping now too!!!!!!!!!) Much appreciated all. :thumb:

My vote for next post is the dvd version of the US fest83. I have VCD version but wonder whether your dvd might be clearer. It is an awesome concert. I just ran into a vid from Argentina TV in 83 that looks like it could be good but seems grainy. Just my vote :thumb:

Chad -

One question I forgot to ask - my PC has a dvd player but doesn't have DVD burning capability (only cd) - I'm happy if I can watch on the PC, but not sure what software (Nero?) have the capability to play these file types in case I have trouble - any thoughts? Thanks...

EVH5150
10.05.04, 12:46 PM
I have a burner, so I hadn't even tried until about a week or so ago when somebody else was having trouble.

I can play them perfectly on my computer using Nero Showtime (part of the Nero 6 Suite)... but if you can't get your hands on that, the dude I was helping said that PowerDVD was a quick/easy download and it worked flawlessly. My personal opinion is that Nero would probably be the more powerful program, but if all you're trying to do is play the files, then you'd probably be ok with PowerDVD. :thumb:

Hey, EVH5150, HAPPY BIRTHDAY !! :D
Hope i'm not wrong, i saw on guitars101.com that your birthday date is 10/8... sorry for being late :p

EVH5150
10.09.04, 04:25 PM
Thanks! It was definately a good one. We had a bon fire and some friends over... I was more tanked than I have been ... since my last birthday :D I was an idiot, and immediately picked up a piece of a cinder block that broke away from the firepit's wall... 4 fingers on my right hand are blisters, basically... but oddly enough, they don't hurt today, and I was too blitzed to feel them last night.

Got to spend the afternoon with my family, and my son made me cards and signs and things... always heart warming. Only problem with days like this is that they make you realize how often you just don't get days like that. I suppose that's what makes you appreciate them all the more.

Thanks for the kind wishes:thumb:

MORE SEEDS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude, seriously... you just need to be patient. There are about 30 people leeching this show, and contrary to what the tracker stats show, I'm pretty sure there is one seed. ME! I may be wrong, and I apologize to anyone else who is helping, but I can't connect to any other seeds, only leechers. I am uploading at a steady 30kbps...but there are only 4 upload slots available. Those will be distributed between the 4 people that will finish fastest and can upload the fastest. Until then, you ARE going to CRAWL. They will seed down the line as they go, but this thing isn't going to pick up speed until the first few people finish... it's like a brand new torrent all over again.

EVH5150
10.10.04, 01:40 PM
This will be reposted in a new thread, with the new tracker information momentarily.

You will have to download the new torrent file, but you should be able to pick up right where you left off. :thumb:

I'm closing this thread... watch for the new one
