The Crimson Idol Tour
Toad's Place, 9/8/92
New Haven, Connecticut
1st gen cassette> CDr (unknown process), FLAC
This is a pre- tour warm-up show. Very good recording for this venue. Toad's is not an easy place to stealth and this taper does a nice job. The Bass is a bit boomy in some spots, but this is a really nice recording despite that. You can tell that the "Idol" material is fresh in Blackies heart as this is propably one of the most hearfelt performances of "The Idol" and "Misconceptions" I have ever heard! This rip was from a 1st gen cassette (Maxell XLII). It was done for me by a friend who has since passed away. At the time (long before download sites) info about the transfer process wasn't important, so I don't know how he did it or the equipment used.
