All I can say about this show is WOW. Van Halen fans are in for a real treat. Eddie is so "on" it's incredible.

From the VH shows I've been to in person, to the shows I've collected in audio and video formats over the years of all eras, I have to say this has to be my favourite. It has the best energy and tightness, best setlist, most solid and sober and active Eddie in years, Gary's voice and showmanship, the honest comraderie, Mike and Alex are at the top of their games......I could go on and on! The band were really tight and on the money by the time they reached Toronto, and it shows. Gary had settled in very well by this point and Eddie was simply perfect.

IMO, the only comparable shows I've seen are from the 5150 tour and pre-1980 Dave.

I'm glad I was there and now am able to bring this to VH fans! :) I'm also happy to finally get to name a bootleg. :D

It's a 2 disc set to maintain the highest quality I could offer. Each disc is just under 3.5 GB each.

Ain't that the truth. I'd say this video shows the best combo of pre and post 1985 Eddie. His technique is flawless and he's got the wiser melodic sensibilities of the Sammy era.

If they could have come up with a 2nd Gary album that was a reflection of this show, I would have welcomed it with open arms. :thumb:

Oh yeah.. for sure. I think Ed is at his best when things are fresh. Basing it on whats he's done when things were in the past. Look how much better he became as a guitarist when Sam joined the band. Everytime i watch LWAN i just sit back and enjoy his newly found energy and talents. :)
