hello. I was just curious why no body uses winzip or win rar to comress the size of these torrents. I noticed a few .rar files. Although I know that you can compress the files down to a quarter of what they really are using those compression softeware. Unsure how they get it so small but I remember downloading some comressed games off of Direct Connect that were like 80mb compressed and then when you uncompress it was a 700mb file. Just wondering if anyone knows how to achieve this. Thank you

FLAC or SHN files are compressed files. Those are WAV files that have been compressed to near 50% of their original size (on average).

Aside from that, there is to be NO archived files posted on this board. That means ZIP, RAR, LHZ, etc... The reason for this is simple. The site is not capable of reading into the archive file, and we have no way of confirming what files are contained inside...

In other words, someone could post a DVD labeled a VH bootleg, but it could really be The Passion Of The Christ, and we would have no way to detect it unless we downloaded the file and checked it.

Yes, thats simple. I've done 100's of them. You just need WinRar and set it to make a Solid Archive.

1, Right click on the folder with the files you want to do in "multi rar"
2, select "add to archive"
3, Give it a name under "Archive" name..lol
4, check the box "create Solid Archive"
5, Enter the size you wan't each archive to be unser "Split to volumes, bytes"

50MB each file would be, 52 428 800 ..You would enter that number

Here are a few sizes that you can choose from,

20 megabytes = 20 971 520
30 megabytes = 31 457 280
40 megabytes = 41 943 040
50 megabytes = 52 428 800
60 megabytes = 62 914 560
70 megabytes = 73 400 320
75 megabytes = 78 643 200

I wouldent go past 75MB due to it taking longer to un-rar.

6, Click ok... Done :thumb:

Multi rar is a great way to share and arcive files for future use, But as EVH5151 said.. not here.
