Is this the show where Steve Perry messes up the lyric of "Don't Stop Believin" and sez "Pee-light people" instead of "Streetlight people" :D ? I remember when they'd show that video on MTV, me and my friends would bust up. (hey, we were freshmen in high school.)

I think I watched this show first run! I was in 11th grade and over at my friend Kelly's house:D I'm a'gettin this one I suppose but the torrent that was around the other day that was in Tokyo I didn't care for. It was like a fluffy Kareoke party or somehting. I just remember when it came time for Neal's solo in Chain reaction and we decide to get creative with stop motion camera work so I missed seeing that right away. delete.. oh well, this one I know I'll like!

Once again thank you!!!
While i'm at it, I have the Black Crowes video from the E-werk, Koln Germany Nov. 17,1992 (Scratchmonkey Prod.), still on my hd. I downloaded it earlier this year from EZT. If there is interest i'll post it . It's an awesome video if you like the Crowes. Let me know.

No worries spinaltap. I didn't have the cover for the Escape scanned in high enough resolution to use. Gives more to choose from if we make more variation for the covers.
What software do you use and what was the font you used? I used "Architext".

Can anyone confirm what is the official date?
Artwork has 1981-11-11 & 1981-11-06. I'm assuming what Onfire posted is correct (1981-11-06) but some clarification would be great.
Thanks in advance
11-06-1981!

I use Photoshop CS to make all my covers. All the images are scanned from the "Escape" CD cover. The font is called "Epitough".

The Friend? why Deen Castronovo of course!
I used to hang with him quite frequently in Portland Oregon back in the day and even was asked to try out for the Bass spot in one of his *other* bands.
A freind of mine was also his "Protoge" and Deen even set him up with a drumset of HIS.
Very great guy! Last I saw him was about 8 years ago, I moved to KC and we lost touch. He was hangin out with us at a Megadeth show in Portland and showing off his DODGE VIPER, which we kept telling him we were gonna steal from him! LOL
Last I heard he still has his head on his shoulders and is still the "down to earth" guy he has always been.
I gotta say this. A qoute from Deen: "my band (Hardline) is on the same label as a joke group (Spinal Tap), I hope that's not a BAD thing..."
he said that to me as we were hangin' out at a Spinal Tap show!

Very Cool! I Always Thought Deen Looked Like A Cool Dude & A Fun Guy To Hang Out With. Ive Met A Lot Of Musicians In My Time & Have Found That Its Rare To Find One That Doesn't Have His Head Up His ASS!!! I Think Deen Is Doing A Killer Job With Journey. When I First Heard That He Was The New Drummer For Journey I Thought He Can't Fill Steve Smiths Shoes. Let Me Tell You He Filled 'Em & Then Some. I Wish There Was Some Hardline Shows Availiable On DVD Those Guys Are Awesome. Hey Did Deen Do The Bad English Albums With Schon? Another Great Band!!!
Thanks,
Onfire

06.08.05, 09:35 PM
Deen was in Bad English as well.
Also appeared on some Marty Friedman Cds also.
I used to have EVERY single thing he did on CD until an ex took off with them!
you'd be amazed how busy he really is...
I think he did some session work for one or two of neal solo albums too...
My favorite schon solo is "late night" Can't remember if he did that though without looking.
Thats Funny An Old Friend Of Mine Barry Sparks Played Bass On A Recent Marty Friedman Album. I Saw An Old Bad English Video I Had Never Seen Before The Other Day On The Classic Rock MTV Channel. It Was Awesome!!! Made Me Want To Run Out & Buy The CD. Someone Sent Me Their Trade List The Other Day & He Had Some Cool Bad English Live CDs. I Think I Will Have To Propose A Trade! You Know As Talented As Deen Is On Drums As Well As Vocals Its No Surprise He's Working A Bunch. He Also Laid Down Tracks For The New Soul Sirkus CD If I Remember Correctly But Was Unable To Make The Tour Due To Exaustion. Is That Correct?
Thanks

NOTES:
Well Here It Is, The First Gig Ever By This Line-up & It Was A Scorcher Enjoyed By A Very Small Crowd.
At The Time I Just Figured It Had To Do with The Location & Lack Of Promotion, But As I'm Reading More &
More It's Looking Like These Guys Are Playing To Half-Empty Venues Almost Everywhere They Go.
Damn Shame 'Cause They Rock, The Setlist Is Great & The Sheer Intensity Is Mind-Blowing. Go Out & See
These Guys & Better Yet, TAPE THEM As They Seem To Be Shifting The Set Around Ever-So-Slighty So It'd Be
Nice To Hear Some Of Alternate Tunes They're Playing.

Hey, I was thinking about that name Barry Sparks, sounds familiar, I may have met him a couple of times, not sure though!
Kinda funny how small the world is sometimes, A guy I know here in KC is always hangin' out in LA and works with Jeff Scott Soto from time to time (Roadie)
Yeah Barry Sparks Has Played With A Few People You Might Know! I'll List Just A Few!
Yngwie Malmsteen
Micheal Schenker
UFO
Marty Friedman
Scorpions
Vinnie Moore
Uli Jon Roth
Ted Nugent
And Currently Touring With Dokken!

Hey Slap! Im From The LA Area & Since The Early 80s I Have Done Lots Of Studio Work With Lots Of My Friends. Ive Done A Slew Of Roadie/Drum Tech Work With A Band I Have Been Working With For 20 Years. We Have Done Tons Of Live Shows With People Like Great White,Winger,Fight,April Wine,Styx,Boston,Dokken...Etc. Coincidence I Spent Two Week In Sunset Sound Recording Studio In Hollywood The Studio Where Van Halen Did Their First Five Albums. Let Me Tell You Standing In The Lobby & Looking @ The Gold VH Albums Was Cool As Well As The Soda Machine That Spit Out Cans Of Heineken Beer For 50 Cents.

That's cool! What's your friends band name? Curious.
I was actually Born and raised in LA and spent my first 12 years there and then off and on (between Vegas, Portland and Seattle) for the next 10 years before I finally moved out of California.
Hollywood in the late 80's was a trip, I tell you, like NOTHING else in the world. I miss it.
