"Picture-wise this is a bit sharper than the Abner,
a little more colorful, and without the annoying "light" band at the
right of the screen. Audio remaster is a little shrill but not too bad.
Overall the best Largo I've seen. "

This one is for trentnaka :-)

Thanks petbur:thumb:
I too can get rid of another VHS tape. This looks like a huge upgrade.

I've always been a little dissappointed with the setlist. Only 2 songs from Dynasty, with neither of them being close to my favorite from that album. It would be so cool to have "Charisma" and "Sure Know Something" included. Anyone know if this is the full setlist? It seems odd that Gene would not demand that at least one of his new songs be performed.

Indeed it is the full setlist, KISS varied the set by including Let Me Go, Rock N Roll on several stops on the tour. However, the only tunes from Dynasty were 'I Was Made For Lovin' You' and '2,000 Man'. Several songs like Sure Know Something, Charisma, Magic Touch were attempted or played on the Official Konvention Tour in 1995. Ace Frehley also did Hard Times on a couple of his solo tours in the nineties. Finally, Magic Touch has been a staple of the Paul Stanley Live To Win Tour. 'Charisma' was originally a pre-KISS Wicked Lester song called 'Simple Type' that was performed by Paul and Gene when they were in that band.

Thank you for this great upload. Best quality I have seen yet of this show. Always wondered how come more shows from the Dynasty tour never surfaced, the band was at its peak from a money making and merchandising standpoint. I have heard the Largo 79 show was intended for tv broadcast, in which case I would gather the other night of this two night stand would have been filmed also as a precaution. Thanks again.

Both nights were recorded, but the band was so loud the first night the recording equipment couldn't handle it and they decided that recording was no good. You can see the interference lines in this show (the second night) from the volume interfering with the video signal again, but supposedly this isn't as bad as the first night was.
