Hello... another stupid question from a newbie, so I apologize if this is really basic.

I finally completed downloading the 7/20/04 show (thanx 2 those who seeded it for me), and have tried leaving the BitTorrent window open for others to grab the show. But, despite showing "Seeders: 1, leechers: 2" in the item description on the message boards, it doesn't appear that anyone has been able to retrieve the files from me.

This happened at home (where I don't have a firewall running) and at work (where there is one, but people have been able to upload from me over the years using things like KaZaA). I've even downloaded BitTornado to see if that would do the trick.

I know there are people out there trying to download the show, and I'm trying to make sure I do the honorable thing and seed it. Is there a step I'm missing that would allow these people to connect to me?

I'd greatly appreciate any help you all can provide. Thanx as well for your patience with what are probably some real basic questions.

It's possible that the other two people connected to the torrent trying to download don't have their clients/firewalls configured correctly. If that's the case, they may not be able to connect to you, but still show up as leechers.

EDIT

I've just fired up that torrent and can connect to the two leechers and you as the seeder. So things look fine from this end...

It also depends on the swarm. Another thing is hit pause and select seeder on the BT client. It usually takes a few minutes, but make sure your health light goes green. If all that part is working it's not your fault. Just hang in there it should start uploading. Thanks for taling the time to ask. :thumb:
